  4. I am trying to make a checkbox work with a label which is INSIDE an <a href> ..,the label function isn't working because of both the separate <div> in which it appears and also because of the anchors. Is there are work-around for this? Can I 'hard code' the labels with css or jscript so that they will work universally throughout the page? Easier if I just post the code rather than trying to explain: <div id="blah"><input type="checkbox" id="1" checked onclick="fnchecked(this.checked);"> <ul class="menu collapsible"> <li> <a href="#"> <div cl

  6. I've been recoding my site to implement some of the html 5 and css 3 into my site that are supported by most browsers currently (my code was way outdated). I decided to make the leap from plain old html tables that I've used for over 10 years and switch over to div tags and css for my "tables". After some struggling I've managed to get it all figured out and my layout looks correct in Firefox 19, however in both IE 8 and Chrome 22, at the bottom of the code where I have a 'footer' on my site, the left and right borders are not aligning correctly and are 2 pixels smaller. (see screenshot of a c
  7. Good dayI have been facing little bit problem with my latest PSD to html project. I couldn’t adjust padding and text/image at the bottom of the page. So, I attached a screen shoot “bg position” along with my project files. I like to arrange my bottom end according to the screen shoot image. I like to ensure you that there has no virus in my attached file. So, please see the both files and helps me to identify the problem. Thank you. bg position.zip
  8. I just finished learning HTML and stated learning CSS. On the CSS Introduction Page they say "HTML was never intended to contain tags for formatting a document." Does this mean I can just forget all the formating TAGs( including the ones that are supported in HTML5 and aren't deprecated ) because CSS can handle it?
  9. Just wondering if there is a difference with the selectors below .class1.class2{color:blue;}.class2.class1{color:green;} I find that both will work with the following (not together) <div class='class1 class2'>TEXT</div> Reason for this is that in my code some class gets injected into the DOM dynamically on page load in random order. The selectors should work independent of the order of the classes. Thanks
  10. Hi, Now I am working with a CSS project where I can set up a logo but when I want to set up navigation right side of logo it doesn’t work. You can see this in my attached file. Sample files are also included into the attached file named “Site_Sample” where you can see the proper outlook of this site. How do I fix it? Thank you.
  11. Hey, So I have started styling some of my website I am working on. I am working on the navigation currently and managed to get the horizontal menu centered. Unfortunately, I need it to also drop to a new line when on a small window such as a smart phone. Currently the first couple of links show up while the rest disappear. Any ideas? ThanksI have the menu inserted with php include inside a div id="mainNav" the menu is <ul class="menu"> <li><a href="/index.php" target="_self"><span>Home</span></a></li> <li><a href="/career/index.php">&
  12. Hey, I posted this yesterday, but for some reason I do not see it today. I'm not sure what happened. Anyway, I have a horizontal navigation bar that I managed to find a solution to center it which is good. Unfortunately, I also need it to wrap to an additional line when on a smaller browser window, such as a smart phone. Currently the links that don't fit within the window just do not show up. Any ideas how to fix this? And if I am using a background image to create the buttons, is that going to effect things? I can probably just replace the image with a color.I currently have the naigational

  16. Hello Internet. Back for another question. I am using CSS styling to make an image larger during a hover event. I have made the code work for IE but Safari does not like it. Actually what Safari is doing is once you click on the image it will show the original image AND the hover image together and separated. The desired effect is that once you hover over an image it will increase the image size. Please help... Here is my CSS code:.thumbnail{position: relative;}/*CSS for enlarged image*/.thumbnail span{position: relative;padding: 0px; left:0px; border: 0px solid #000000;visibility: hidden; col
  17. I have a div that contains an image. I would like the image to change, approximately every 5 seconds, to another image. There may be up to 10 images that I would like to have rotate (although I suppose the amount of images is, perhaps, irrelevant). I know that this is possible with Java Script. I've seen it work and suspect it's actually fairly straight forward (I'm sure there's countless tutorials on the internet, if I really get stuck). What I'd really like to know is if this is possible without using Java Script and instead using CSS? I believe it's possible in CSS3, as I read an article ea

  21. So I'm new here and have been trying to solve this problem for over a month and can not seem to figure out of its CSS or js related... Maybe it could be that I use page templates rather then directly imputing into the Wordpress page content area via the dashboard? The theme was a template and defiantly did not do this as the demo theme works just fine on mobile browsers. The problem is my short codes, nav, widgets overflow off the right side of the page ONLY in mobile browsers. The site works fine on all desktop scenarios..In the screen shot you'll notice that it seems as if the body does not sp
