I am having a little trouble with aligning <div> in my webpage.I want to move the <div> with "TIME GOES HERE" all the way down to the top of the grey navigation bar.
  2. Okay im having this problem on my footer that it wont stick bottom of the div element. So im having code like above. So in style css i have tried everything in footer footer {bottom:0px; <-- Doesnt workmargin-bottom:0px; <-- Doesnt work}<div><footer>Copyright YEAR ...</footer></div>
  3. Is there anyway to make the edges curved as opposed to being sharp? When I say edges, I mean the edge of a div, not a checkbox. Can you style a checkbox? Like change the color of the checkbox to something as opposed to its normal white background. I only want the checkbox to change color and not the whole input. The two questions above are not related.
  4. How do I make something appear at the bottom most parts of the page? What I mean is if I wanted to add a footer, I would want it to be at the bottom at all times no matter how the page is changing. I was wondering how I would align something in the center. Like if I wanted to align a div or table in the center, but not the text itself. I know I can use text-align:center, but that just seems weird and I tried align:center, but I am not sure if that is right.

Just consider that I have joined your institution to Complete the CSS Tutorials. Like I said, certain things I know and certain things I don't know. Which-ever I know, I am pretty good into it and which-ever I don't know, I try to learn and understand it.But however, I am here to seek help from you (and other Members) to complete CSS Tutorials.

  7. Hi, Still a newbie CSS person and have a question I hope someone might be able to help with. I have a Wordpress blog and a particular plugin allows me to output a list from certain database entries. I don't see any way to be able to attach any styling to the various list items. However, each section of the list does have a title included which is consistant. I was hoping there might be some way to style these in the site's CSS file .... hence this forum question. <li id="lead_row_3" class="gf_css_class odd" style="gf_cssall"><ul><li class="text" title="Your First Name">xxxx
  8. I have created a css sprite based navigation. The navigation looks fine if I order the navigation items in the same order as they are in the .gif file and the CSS definitions, but if I rearrange them, something strange is happening to the image, and I'm not sure what. Here are three examples: 1. All the LI items in the same order as the .gif and CSS definition. http://www.reneebull...navigation.html (Note the top link "One" is a different color becuase it is stled as "current") Everthing is fine here.2. LI items two and three are rearranged, notice how the image for two and three are distort
  9. Internet Explorer (even 9) has been nothing but a royal and complete pain in the *** thus far. I finally got a dropdown menu working via CSS and it works great in Firefox and Chrome. However! There's one major problem.. When ever I add a list-style-image or even a list-style-type tag, it appears above everything in Internet Explorer. I'll post the code below, and if anyone can figure out this problem or how to fix it i'll sign my soul to you. PLEASE READ: To see the list effects, I have only added them to two areas at the moment. Diablo 3's "Class Guide" menu and the sub-menu "Barbarian" shou

[/left] The first part of the following code is to make a clear button. Here is the html part of the code:[/left] [/size][/color][/font][/left]<div class="alignright"><a href="#" class="link4" onClick="doc

  19. Hi I am just self-learning CSS and am practising in a new WordPress site. It is only hosted locally for now so sorry I can't provide a link. I'm sure this is easy for a CSS guru though I am having trouble center aligning the text (i.e page links) within my horizontal navigation menus. I tried using padding (which works) though discovered it is displayed differently in different browsers (I am still learning about using universal CSS for multiple browsers). I read a few tutorials regarding using "margin: auto" and "align:center" though I have no idea where to use it in my code. I have tried a f

Hello, I wasn't sure if I should post this under CSS, HTML, or whatever so I ended up in the general topics. I am relatively new to we development. I had page that the back ground is an image of a color to goes light at the top to a darker shade at the bottom (gradient). So normally to save load time I assume you would just apply the color via CSS so it doesn't have to load and actually image. Is it possible to use some sort of HTML, CSS, etc to apply a gradient to the solid color? Or do i just have to load the image. I hope this makes sense. I appreciate the help. Thanks
  24. Hi I'm just learning CSS/HTML (self-taught) and am curious about the process required to achieve something like the image that can be seen on this blog page: http://theletteredcottage.net/our-house/ Any advice/info, and in particular some example code, would be fantastic. As stated, I'm only a newbie so simple explanations with limited jargon much appreciated :-) Thanks so much!
