  1. So I'm trying to build out an html email for a client in Constant Contact. I've worked out most every bug in all email clients, but for some reason one of my tables (see code comment "table two - left & right columns") is being shifted to the left by about 1px. It doesn't do this in Apple's mail client, nor does it display like that when viewed in a browser. It seems to only occur in Microsoft and Google email clients. The math on the tables adds up, the images are correct, all padding, margins, spacing, borders, etc. are removed. I'm at a loss and on deadline. Any help would be awesome.
  2. I am having trouble getting background colors to show in a three column table on my site. For some reason they work fine with two columns but revert to white (#FFFFFF) when I add the third column. Any suggestions?
  3. I've been recoding my site to implement some of the html 5 and css 3 into my site that are supported by most browsers currently (my code was way outdated). I decided to make the leap from plain old html tables that I've used for over 10 years and switch over to div tags and css for my "tables". After some struggling I've managed to get it all figured out and my layout looks correct in Firefox 19, however in both IE 8 and Chrome 22, at the bottom of the code where I have a 'footer' on my site, the left and right borders are not aligning correctly and are 2 pixels smaller. (see screenshot of a c
  4. Hello everyone, sorry for the dull title. Couldn't think of anything better. So this is my problem.I was using a registration form for teachers and one for students. There are ten fields in each, first name, last name, username, password, etc being similar whereas departments (teachers have 7, students have 3) and email ids (teachers have a different domain extension and students different) being different. I am using two tables, one for teachers and one for student. Now, I know I can use one login form, query against these two tables using the JOIN property and make them login. But I want to k
  5. I have created a checklist using HTML tables, however I want different people to be able to use the checklist and be able to come back to it and check things off as they are acquired or completed. I'm pretty sure I will need to use PHP and I know how to create a login page, and I think to be able to save the checkboxes for individual people I would use a PHP form but I'm not sure how to incorporate the table I have already created. Any help would be appreciated.
  6. I have a table. Assume that it has five columns. I have specified one row as having a colspan of 5 columns. I want to center text in that column. The text-align:center attribute of the <td> tag centers the text, but relative to the first column, not the full colspan. Anyone know how to do this? Many thanks.
  7. i need to ask where to put this code ?? so that it could run.. CREATE TABLE Profiles( UniqueID AutoIncrement NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY, Username Text (255) NOT NULL, ApplicationName Text (255) NOT NULL, IsAnonymous YesNo, LastActivityDate DateTime, LastUpdatedDate DateTime, CONSTRAINT PKProfiles UNIQUE (Username, ApplicationName))
  8. Hi, I have a client who wants to me do his newsletter based on what it was before. There is a giant white space between the last text and the bottom footer thing that says tomfullerband.com. I thought I could just change the height of the border image (<img src="http://www.tomfullerband.com/newsletter/images/tfb-newsletter_04.jpg) to 1400 (it was originally 2175) to make it shorter but then it left no border at all between the border image and the footer. here is a picture of what it's doing. http://rubyfruitradio.com/pics/problem.png I tried adding cellpadding of 0 and cellspace of 0 but
  9. Hello internet.I am on the home stretch... One last piece to the puzzle.I am trying to send an html table in an e-mail from a php script and it is literally showing my code and not the table. Here is the code - what you see in the e-mail is exactly this code minus the $message='(...)'; $message = '<html><head> <title>Birthday Reminders for August</title></head><body> <p>Here are the birthdays upcoming in August!</p> <table> <tr> <th>Person</th><th>Day</th><th>Month</th><th>Year</th&g
  10. I have tried to search for an answer to this issue I have and am stumped so far. Any advice would be welcome here: I am designing a statement/remittance document to replace a paper one and I need to print a vertical dotted line to mimic a perforation in between a table of statement items and a table of the same items - our statements have each line showing the data twice, one set of which is past the perforation so the customer tears off the remittance and marks all items they are paying. The document has a series of tables down the page, each of which has 3 cells, the middle of which is to ho

    Tables?

Hello, I'm trying to copy the "contentAll" div menu of my website horizontally so I have three or four of these menus. I've tried with tables, but I can't get the styling right. I want the spacing to be exactly like it is right now, and the second column to be, say fifty pixels from the first one? Here's my HTML <!DOCTYPE HTML><html><head><title>Francis Siebert</title><link href="stylesheets/style.css" media="screen" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /></head><body><div id="header"> <h1>Francis Siebert, just another boring, want to
