  2. hi, I have a contact form with 4 fields; name, email, input text, and security question.. For some reason, I can get the input fields of Name and Email to sit on the left side of their respective input fields, but for Input Text and the Security Question, the label sits on the right of the input field... Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?? Thankyou!! http://www.atmananda.com/contact-us/
  3. Hello! I am Superior_Nexus. I am new here, as I am new to the whole scripting scene. My question is, can somebody help me with this little piece of JavaScript code!? Please. I read the article on www.w3schools.com many times, and I just don't understand it. I want to make the button work both ways, "forwards" and "backwards". I have the "forward" done, now I just ask for help in setting up the "backwards" part. I will only post my javascript code for now, but if you need more, then i'll be happy to post that too. Note: I am not a professional by any means, and my code is probably the poorest some of you have ever seen, I do this for fun. Here is my code. <script>function menu() {var x = document.getElementById("hidden_menu");x.style.width = "20%";x.style.transition = "width 1s";var x = document.getElementById("wrapper");x.style.width = "80%";x.style.transition = "width 1s";}</script> How would I get this button to reverse this action? Thank you in advance!
  4. first off... You need a help section(if you have one already, my apologies) I know this is the help section, but I feel as if these is more as a moderator section to give information on things that could be helpful to look at... That don't really make sense, but in away it do. Even know you do have "pinned" to notify...<!DOCTYPE html><html><body><p id="p1">Click the button to locate where "locate" first occurs.</p><p id="p2">0</p><button onclick="myFunction()">Try it</button><script>function myFunction(){var str=document.getElementById("p1").innerHTML;var n=str.indexOf("hi");document.getElementById("p2").innerHTML=n+1;}</script></body></html><!--Finding a String in a StringThe indexOf() method returns the position (as a number) of the first found occurrence of a specified text inside a string:Examplevar str="Hello world, welcome to the universe.";var n=str.indexOf("welcome");Try it yourself ┬╗The method returns -1 if the specified text is not found.it doesn't return -1-->
  5. I'm doing a project for a client and the Financial Adviser's in the company needed to be able to visit a page and create a report on the fly: Visit a webpage and be able to create a report based on a question form, This is an example of the report. Client's Name: (Name is entered) This name will be replicated throughought the report as well as other information (this is just a quick exmaple). First Question: "what are you serving the client?" Answers: "Pension", "Investment", "Mortgage", "Protection" Based on the answer a set of questions will appear below relevent to each answer. For example if the Advisor choose Investment then the following question would be (as an example) "What is the clients attitude toward risk managment?" Answers "Incliened to take high risks", "Inclined to take some risks", "Not very inclined to take risks" Based on this a paragraph related to the question would appear in the report which is being created below. Then another question (also which appeared based on the answer Investment) would of appeared This question would also have the same functionality as the one above, Essentially what i am trying to achive is create a report which is created on the fly based on a form and a pool of questions (prefably not stored ina database to keep it simple) related to each answer, then copy the report from the website to a word document. As you can see i have tried to be as descriptive as possible with what i am trying to achive, I have little knowledge of Javascript/Jquery, I would be greatful if you could point me in the right direction by telling me what i need to do or any good tutorials. What would be amazing is if someone kind person could create a simple framework for this page in which i can develop further. Thanks Ieuan.
  6. Okay I'm biulding a website for a client which is required to do the following: Financial Advisor's from the company i am working for needs to be able to login to the website (by creating a account using a code unique to the company). Then be able to add client infomation to their own client list on a database (seperate from other advisors). From there the Advisors need to be able to go back and see a simplified list of their clients (i.e. just the clients name for example with a search option to find clients easily). Then when the click on the client's name they will be taken to a different page which displays the client's information in full, with the ability to edit this information. I understand the difficulty of this task and my skills are more directed towards the design aspect of websites, as you can probably make out I have little experince with databases and PHP, however I have taught myself other computer languages and not worried about the need to learn. All i'm asking for is for someone to outline what needs to be done and point me in the right direction as to where I can aquire the knowledge needed to complete this project. Thanks a million Ieuan.
  7. I'm trying to build a website, and I'm having a little trouble with a couple style pieces, and I would like a little help. The problem is that I'm working with conflicting commands, and I need to be able to make one override the other based on the class, but it hasn't worked for me. So, the color theme I had in mind involves a Navigation bar at the top with a light background and a dark color, and the main text is light text on a dark background. Obviously, what link color I pick for the main text is going to be rather faint if I use it on the NavBar, but I don't know how to make a style that applies specifically to links under the Navbar class. Can I get a demonstration please? And would it be easier to do this inline or in the main CSS?

  9. so, what i am trying to do is send an email from an HTML FORM. i want to keep it somewhat simple, meaning i don't want employ JS or PHP. HTML and CSS only. what i have so far: <form name="DriveOnRequest" method="POST" action="mailto:myemail@example.com?subject=Drive On Request" type="text/html" content-type="Multipart/formdata" accept-charset="UTF-8" enctype="Multipart/formdata" > <table> <td> <tr> <th><label>Requestor Name:<abbr title="Enter your name if you are the requestor or the name of the person who you are requesting the drive on for.">Help</abbr></label></th> <td><label>First</label><input type="text" name="first1" min="2" required></td> <td><label>Last</label><input type="text" name="last1" min="2" required></td> </tr> this is the more important part .. i think as i believe that the problem is somewhere in here. i am closing the form out and have a submit button. everything works fine up until then. when i submit it opens the default email program and is ready to send; however, the email inside looks something like this: Questions: 1. How can i remove the INPUT NAME Tags (first1=) or at least the "=" sign? 2. How can i remove the "&" sign obviously used as space. 3. Is there a way to style the whole thing at all? Because this is really where i need it. In the email, not the form. I am thinking that it has to do with the charset or the encoding but i am not sure. I find everything on the www about how to style the form but no more than bits and pieces about the resulting email.
  10. Hi! IMGnest is a website that me and my friend released as a beta version recently. A brief description of the website is that it is primarily two user bases. First one is people who want their pictures edited and the second one consists of people who want to edit images. As you may have figured out, the concept of IMGnest is that the first user base uploads a picture, the second user base edit the picture and lastly the first user base downloads the edited image. Now we want you to let us know what you think! Please remember that IMGnest is still in beta. Thanks in advance! www.imgnest.com

LoadModule php5_module "c:/php/php5apache2.dll" not found (or something very similar) Does certain Apache server version require certain PHP version? I'm pointing out the correct directory and its still telling that its wrong folder. Last time i tried these files.httpd-2.0.65-win32-x86-no_ssl.msiphp-5.3.28-nts-Win32-VC9-x86.msi And received same results. Modified php.ini to point out the extensions folder, added these lines to httpd config file (To correct positions). LoadModule php5_module "c:/php/php5apache2.dll"AddType application/x-httpd-php .phpPHPIniDir "c:/php" I have to install Apache2 the hard way since Xampp has been buggy for me for a bit. Please reply with correct version links and other tutorials if there is.

    Help?

Hello everyone, I was wondering how would I create a similar program to the "try it yourself" you see when learning php. I would like to make one that can do CSS, HTML, and PHP, but I can't figure out how to make it understand the script, I like how you can see the script and the product after you hit submit, it makes it easier to figure stuff out. I want to make this to help my best friend with a site he made: http://madsplash.netWith this I could program on my ipad online and email it directly to him, he's sorta my teacher.Any help would be appreciated, thanks for your time.
  15. Hi All, I'm running a website i.e. http://homepageforu.webs.com/, its running good, its a simple website with HTML & CSS, I like to add one signup page/image, which fades all the background icons, until n unless, either visitor subscribe to my website, or click cancel on that signup page (this page is also unblockable i.e. doesn't blocked by pop-up blocker) & in either condition, he/she can visit my website, but if he goes for sign up, than that page should be open in a new window. i've seen this in many websites specially with online shopping or coupons website, like "http://www.shopclues.com/mobiles/mobile-phones.html", the same signup page, when this website opens. Thanks in Advance Ashish
  16. I want my links to be block-like. Instead, they look like this:http://i44.tinypic.com/20p7mg1.jpg That's not want I want. Instead, I want something more like this (http://i40.tinypic.com/2na76ys.jpg) (except not so big) and I want the set up the same. For example, BLOCK LINK wrote on BLOCK LINK And I want that all on one line. With regular block links though, it's usually one per line. So I need help, please. Site: http://sugar-baby.org/ <--- All of the coding regarding this can be seen there. [EDIT] I have found out that the <?php wp_head(); ?> has something to do with it. if I remove the wp_head, it works, if I keep it, than it doesn't work.
  17. Hello! I'm a beginner when it comes to XHTML/HTML and therefore I have a question. As far as I know you are supposed to tell the browser what (X)HTML version the document uses in the <!DOCTYPE>-tag and then the browser will "understand" and read the document correctly. But you also provide a link to a DTD that says exactly what elements are allowed etc. My question: Does the browser read the DTD in order to display the document or can it display the document properly by just knowing the actual (X)HTML version stated in <!DOCTYPE>? If the browser doesn't read the DTD, then why is it necessary to include a link to it in the <!DOCTYPE>-tag? Thanks!
  18. So I'm trying to build out an html email for a client in Constant Contact. I've worked out most every bug in all email clients, but for some reason one of my tables (see code comment "table two - left & right columns") is being shifted to the left by about 1px. It doesn't do this in Apple's mail client, nor does it display like that when viewed in a browser. It seems to only occur in Microsoft and Google email clients. The math on the tables adds up, the images are correct, all padding, margins, spacing, borders, etc. are removed. I'm at a loss and on deadline. Any help would be awesome. 19. Hello all, this is my first attempt at a real website to be posted in the future. It's at it's very basic stages. I've noticed a problem with the layout that needs fixing with Chrome, Firefox, and IE9. When the page is zoomed in or out, the layout shifts. How do I prevent this? How can I fix the layout so that it does not shift? P.S. Yes it's ugly right now, it's mostly laid out to show me the measurements and how the page is to be divided. Like I said it's bare bones. Or if better I have the files attached as well. But can't upload the ttf.... sorry about that. home.css index.html
  20. Okay, i have been working on a solution for alot of time now, and i can still simply not figure out what the ###### is wrong here. So im asking here for a new set of eyes, again -.-'. If you would just see the uploaded picture, you can see the menu does NOT go outside the content area. This has happened on MANY of my projects when i was trying to integrate a jQuery based menu with help from a few .JS formatted files. If possible. Thanks ALOT! rootKID
  21. forms.js.txtform.txtMailHandler.php.txt I am a photographer with a strong design and coding background trying to make myself a new website.I'm trying to tweak a template to suit my needs, and I am having considerable trouble with the Contact Form page. I am very familiar with html and css, but js is not my strong suit and I have never worked with php before. If anyone could help me by letting me know where/what I need to edit for the submit button to make the form information go to my email I would greatly appreciate it. I have tried editing what I thought was right, and it still doesn't work. I have given up on my edited files and reverted back to the original template files because I'm sure the files I have been editing are beyond repair at this point. I really need to get this site up and running ASAP, but I am at my wits end with this form. Everything else on the form seems to work fine. These are my thoughts: [*] [*]The action element of the form tag is set to "#". That's not right, but I'm not sure what to put there. And there is no method element.[*] [*]The owner-email on the .js page is also set to #, so I'm sure I need to put in the email address there. I'm just not sure about the syntax.[*] [*]There is also a spot in the .php file that I feel needs to have my email address also, but again, I'm unsure of the syntax. [*] [*]Also the a tag href element on the submit button is also set to "#" and I'm not sure where to point it, because it appears that the form should give the user a .js message confirming that the form has been sent...[*] This is the form code in the html file: <h2>Contact form</h2><form action="#" id="ContactForm"><div class="success"> Contact form submitted!<br><strong>We will be in touch soon.</strong> </div><fieldset><div class="wrapper"><span class="col1">Name:</span><label class="name"> <span class="bg"><input type="text" class="input"></span><span class="error">*This is not a 22. Hello!I have to correct syntax errors in a document that looks something like this: <!DOCTYPE html><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head><title>Title</title></head><body><p>content</p></body></html>There are a lot of syntax errors in the full verision of the document, but some end tags like </p> are also missing. I don't know if I'm supposed to add tags like </p> because if this document is HTML5 it isn't necessary. When I validate the document at http://validator.w3.org/check it says that it is HTML5, but <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> makes me wonder...Can anyone please tell me if this is a HTML5 or XHTML document? I usually close all tags but since I'm supposed to correct syntax errors I'm not sure if I should close all tags because the validator (which says that it's HTML5) doesn't say that a missing end tag is a syntax error. I mean, if it's HTML5 my teacher shouldn't be allowed to complain about it... Do you think I will fail the assignment if I don't close all tags? Thanks!
  23. I'm using a ZooEffect Gallery, which is great-except for two things; A) The images do not read links-despite them being a gallery option. You can't seem to change the font within the gallery-I tried being adjusting the CSS-to no avail, I put it back and then after a few days, ZooEffect got back to me with a solution, Which also didn't work. Most people seem to be able to pinpoint these issues using Safari Developer or FireBug. Can anybody pinpoint for me or at least tell me how I would do this? ThanksLauren

    Positioning trouble

hi everyone, I just want to ask the professionals use is very simple question about CSS positioning step ahead of myself I started learning css a few months ago it was very very easy to me there was nothing complex about it at all. well not until I reach the positioning in CSS they will like a living ###### to me well of course I could understand that simple values which are fixed relative, absolute, and static and how the work and the relation between the relative and the absolute values. but one thing that I died understand in positioning is that when you position an element in html you need to position it according to let's say the full screen mood that's mean when you want to make the browser tab is in the full screen of your computer screen, but if you played with tab of the browser like you want to decrease or increase the size of tab the position will change now. so how does these positions work I don't know how they work when we can implement them in any HTML page. and also one more simple question is that if I want to center an elements like a box in the center of the HTML page but when I play with the tab at the dimensions it don't change from its position it stay and remains in the center of the HTML page not caring about the decreasing or the increasing of that tap dimensions.
  25. Hi All, I recently started to have issues with my website, uHeadphones.Com, only in the Firefox browser. On my index page the icon for my top vendor's (Aerial7, AudioFly, Plantronics, Sony, WeSC) is intruding in my category bar(in-ear, over-ear, bluetooth..etc, etc.). Does anybody know what my issue could be? This is only happening to me in Firefox. Thank You
