I am fan of Dark theme. It is very helpful in many ways. eg: ## it helps user to focus on screen for longer ## here are some images, how w3schools should look in dark theme. // these images are from (idm+)'s browser which has its own dark mode.
Clearly many people prefer to have a dark background while reading texts for longer periods of time. W3Schools offers tutorials that take several hours to finish, which means staring at a huge white screen for hours. There is even a guide on how to create a toggle button for making dark mode available, but for some reason it is not provided by the site itself. Why? Do I really have to manually change the css of the site every time I want to read something without burning my eyes out? Come on.
Hello, Is there a way to combine dark mode (https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_js_toggle_dark_mode.asp) and local storage (https://www.w3schools.com/html/html5_webstorage.asp)? I managed to implement the dark mode function but fail to combine that with local storage, e.g. the user toggles to the dark mode and this stays even when refreshing the page or browsing to another within the same domain. You can see the dark mode function on my website here: https://ericroth.org/ Any help much appreciated, thanks!
