  1. Hei Guys, w3schools is so awesome. I learned a lot About webdesign but now I've been comming to an end. On my Webpage I got a Nav-bar with jquery-buttons that hide/Show divs. So here Comes my Question. Is there any solution to save the visibility Status of These divs when user adds my page to bookmarks? Is there any solution to make last Status of divs available via browser button BACK? I was reading About this Problems some time ago but was not able to figure out were. I'm really open to any solution. Even a complete redesign of the page is possible if the soluti
  2. I started to follow the https://www.w3schools.com/w3css/w3css_navigation.asp navigation page. However the menu I want required a bit more - with a few SELECT fields and a form. My page is here :- http://newtib.kwister.com/ The menu at the top (marked in HTML code as <!-- NEW MENU --> works fine. On big/medium screen - it is the same, However on a small screen (mobile) I see a small button which says "HIDE MENU". This is OK. & when I press the button, the menu hides itself. PROBLEM: within 1-2 seconds of pressing the button, the menu reappears. I am w
  3. https://www.w3schools.com/w3css/w3css_sidebar.asp Hello. I'm researching the above page as a starting point, and ive also googled and found there is no "CLASS" version of the getElementById command. basically, I want to do a full table, but a number of rows (by criteria) will be given a class name. what i am after is a way to "hide" or remove those selected rows from the table. but if i press a button, the rows will re-emerge & show themselves into the table - NOT as a separate / distinct table, but seamless into the same table. has anyone got a W3CSS (javascript) command/pr
  4. Hi there, I’m a newbie in coding HTML, CSS (very poor in JS) and I would like to make a responsive navbar like that: https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_js_topnav_responsive.asp (here the code: https://www.w3schools.com/howto/tryit.asp?filename=tryhow_js_topnav). My question is, when the navbar is in “responsive mode” and when clicking the menu button (right side in the example), is it possible to produce a "fade in/out" effects in order to display the menu items? Thank you in advance for your time and for any help you can provide. Sergio
  5. Hi there, I have a form with a field, which will be prefilled, but this field is a text box and editable for everyone. But i want it only as a readonly field, but this field can´t be changed directly to a html field, so i was wondering, is it possible to copy the body of that field and show it as readonly and only, if it is not empty? I do not want to use a button for that Thanks a lot in advance
  6. Hi, I'm trying to fake the placeholder attribute for a contact form using jQuery. To do so, I placed an input on top of a label tag (which is basically the value I want inside the input), and used jQuery to hide the label when pressing a key and show it back when the field is empty. I used the keypress and keyup events, like so: jQuery(function($){ $(".placeholder").each(function(){ var label = $(this).find("label"); var input = $(this).find("input"); […] input.keypress(function(){ label.stop().hide(); }); input.keyup(functi
  7. Hi Can someone point me in the direction of a tutor so I can learn how to remove or hide things using css. I'm running a wordpress woocommerce store and need to add css in a plug-in box that will remove or hide items. If I have to I can find the css sheet for the plug-in and work from there. I know how to build a basic css sheet to make my own pages but never tried to remove anything using css. Any help of where I can find a good tutor would be much appreciated.Kimberly
  8. I'd like to hide the corresponding button when an input value is empty or has a value="n/a". In the following example, the input box "first_field" is corresponding with the button "first_button", and the input box "second_field" with the button "second_button", and so on... In this case the second and fifth button will be hidden: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /><title>Hi

    Hide scroll bar

I'm using Firefox web browser which has an add-on that lets you override whatever style you want.So my goal is to use that add-on to hide the scroll bar in the right side of the screen. There are two situations:1) The page doesn't require the scroll bar.2) The page has a scroll bar, and I want to hide it. I'm currenly using this script to hide the scroll bar, however this script works well when the page has a scroll bar. When the page doesn't have a scroll bar, the script rips off 16 pixels from the page (the default width of the scroll bar) Here's the script: /* hide vertical scrollbar */notif
