I am trying to fix a problem that only occurs in IE 7 (and probably 6). View my page here with browser mode in IE7 (or view the screenshot I have attached) and you will see what I mean: http://houserepublicans.wa.gov/brad-klippert/. The hyperlinks are overlapping in some places, but not all. In my main stylesheet, I have a {display:inline !important;} It is the very last rule. While this worked to fix the problem in other browsers/versions, it doesn't for IE 7. I have spent a ridiculous amount of time with Google searching, to no avail. I am working on a website for my work but they will not give me a webserver. So basically I have to run it off a fileshare. This limits me to HTML, Javascript, and CSS formats to get anything done. I need to be able to accept data entered into a form and store it somewhere so it can later be queried for analysis in another website type format. Any suggestions? Somethings to keep in mind also so you know what I'm working with here. - older dell workstations running XP- IE7 is the only browser we are able to use on the work machines- No web server access or ability to pull in data from outside r

Hi forum, I've been struggling with an annoying bug in IE7. You can see in the pictures how the nav it's correctly displayed in any friendly browser and in that spooky thing called IE7. I've put a red border around the <li> elements so you can see what's the problem in IE7, hope you can find me to find the solution to it. Chrome IE7As you can see the <li> elements are being extended to the right and overlapping the <span> element in the right. Here's my HTML and CSS for reference HTML <div class="category-image"><img src="images/PipelineImage.jpg" alt="main-pic-deve

Hi I've used W3Schools for a good few years and find it the best educational tool for HTML and CSS. Thanks guys! I was really pleased to discover recently that you have forums, too. I have a problem with the display on my wife's site, which appears to only manifest itself on IE7 (and earlier). The display is as intended on IE8, IE9, Firefox, Safari and Chrome. My concern is obviously for those using IE browsers older than IE8. The site itself (in its current format) was originally built about five years ago, when my knowledge was confined to the use of tables for layout as opposed to using

I have text-decoration: none for links in my code which works fine in Google Chrome, Firefox and IE9 but in IE7 some links randomly display as underlined. Any way of fixing this? Here's the code: a:link {color: #42413C;text-decoration: none;}a:visited {color: #42413C;}a:active, a:focus {text-decoration: none;}a:hover {color: #980000;} Thanks
