I need to get the raw window handle for a html / javascript window (hwnd in windows 10), using javascript / node.js / nwjs but can't find a way. does anybody have any ideas? I want to embed mpv or mplayer in a window using the -wid option which requires the window handle as an integer. Or does anyone have any ideas how to do this as an alternative? Thanks

Hi all, I'm trying to wrap my head around the idea of the window object and the document object relationship. I've read some really good explanations in stackoverflow and others. I have a pretty good grasp of it so I tried an experiment. If the window object opens in the browser, and then the document object opens in the window, then if I change the document, will the window object remain the same. I tried make 2 simple html's - in the first I set a variable like window.myVar = "myValue";. I was able to change the value with a button so it was working fine, and then I used an <a&

Hello, I would like to define non-replaceable references/getters to the innerWidth and innerHeight properties of window, or whatever they reference and are updated by. This is because currently, I can very easily re-assign, delete or re-define these properties to any other value making them unreliable if they were accidentally tampered with. Research In Mozilla, Object.getOwnPropertyDescriptor(window, x) where x is innerWidth or innerHeight, returns a descriptor of a configurable and enumerable property with a getter and setter containing functions that I can retrieve, bind to window and iso

Let's pretend, there's a <div> on a page. There's a usual HTML form inside it that sends information to another php-file. By default, the visibility of the div is hidden, and the click on the button makes it visible. The question is how to close the form (i.e. hide the div) using a button or <a> element on the div, WITHOUT the sending data to php-file. In other words, how to close this <div> as if it is usual popup-window, without changes?

Hi, I have a website and, for a weird reason, I want one of its pages to be displayed using a navigator´s window with a smaller size than the normal ones. I would like to resize the window of that page to half size of a normal web page. I think JavaScript could be the solution to what I want. Do you know the script that I should use, in order to resize the navigator´s window? As a new developer, I appreciate your help! Thanks, Yumboxit

we are opening multiple browser child windows using window.showmodellessdialog() method - Is there any way to get z-Index of this window w.r.t. parent window? window.style.zIndex gives null or undefined. I need Z-Index to maintain overlapping order of these windows. Regards, Shwetank

Using target="_blank" in <a>..</a> nominally opens a new window. In browsers with a tab facility however it usually opens a new tab. You can usually pick up a tab and move outside the browser window to create a completely new window, but how do you force a completely new window rather than just a new tab f romthe start? I haven't come up with search criteria that give me anything other than target="_blank". Thanks

Hi folks, I really don't know if this is the right section for posting this question, but perhaps some Moderators could move it otherwise? On my website I have a "modal window" which shows a bulleted list of various online stores for digital music. At the moment I have inserted perhaps 100 different stores, and the pop-up box are really long. I need help with creating a fixed size for this window with a scrollbar inside it. CSS part: .text-box-ul li { list-style-type:disc; margin-left:16px; margin-top:5px; } HTML part: <ul class="text-box-ul"><li>Text here</li><
