justsomeguy
.NET is newer, if you were going to learn ASP today, start with ASP .NET. .NET applications are compiled applications, classic ASP applications are not. You can use several languages with .NET, with ASP classic about all you can use are VBScript and Javascript. With ASP .NET you can use over 40 different languages. The most popular is probably C#, which syntactically is similar to C++ and Java. .NET is much more powerful then ASP classic is.
