NicholaBrace Posted April 5, 2007 Share Posted April 5, 2007 Can someone please explain why the DOCUTYPE tag keps disappearing from my pages???this is what im trying to enter:<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">it saves it, publishes fine, check back a couple of times and its still there, then all of a sudden *poof* disappeared! justsomeguy Posted April 5, 2007 Share Posted April 5, 2007 If possible, you might want to switch over to a normal text editor, and an FTP client to transfer everything. You would edit your files in your text editor, save them, and use your FTP client to copy them to the web server. That way you have full control over exactly what is on your page.
