Drag and Drop Lists

Hi all! I know little about javascript, so i am kinda lost in how to go about modifying a script that i need. I don't know if you are familiar with this : Drag DropIt is a great little drag and drop code. I have been tweaking it where i can, to make it fit, but don't have enough knowledge of JS to proceed. I am using the first example there, with the submit button, and was wondering if that code could be modified to limit the length of the left column to 10 items. If someone tries to add an 11th, it will kick the last one over to the center column.This possible without too much pain?
