boen_robot
A great tool for that is fiddler. It allows you to see, as well as send arbitary HTTP headers. With some tweaking, it can even read HTTPS (for the price of the browser seeing an error message, but that's just a security consideration in HTTPS). It also has some very neat extensions that can help a lot with performance testing, namely the timeline addon. The rest is actually built in.If you need help with using fiddler, use for example Fiddler's Demonstration Videos or any of the links on the help page.
