First off ASP.Net is faster (around 5x).There is a lot of functionality that classic ASP does have that requires the use of COM+ components which significantly add to overhead while most things are built into the .Net framework.I would say that when you are into heavy processing ASP.Net will win because of many features for memory management and caching.
