IE7 / IE6 Notes

Recommended Posts

I have recently been frustrated while working on the CSS layouts for some web pages with a website developer. We are putting together a web app using IE. Most of our users will be running the app with it.I am using Vista with IE 7, and he is still on XP with IE 6. The website has to work with both, including the CSS page layouts. He does some code, sends me the page, and then I reformat it to match the page designs that we have.We are discovering that Microsoft has changed a few things in IE 7 in respect to how a page is layed out with CSS. It has resulted in layouts that look different when veiwed with IE 6 and IE 7. I will lay out a page and send it to my frinend, and he will send back a screenshot as to how it looks differently to him.I have done a little bit of searching to find out the differences in IE 6 and IE 7. Here are a couple of links that explain some of them at MSDN:http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb250496.aspxhttp://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/b...500.aspx#zentekK_Drive
