Guest Paulo
In the following page, there is a missinformation:http://www.w3schools.com/css/pr_class_display.aspIn there it says that "inline" is the "Default" without stating that there are a few exceptions, like the HTML tag TABLE. I found this out while trying to assign "display:inline;" to a table and the layout became broken (noticeable by assigning a background and border to the table, not to the TRs or TDs). This until i found out that the table was one exception to the rule "inline" as default. The default for TABLE seems to be "display:block;".I am only taking the time to say this because i really like the website w3schools.
Synook
There are many exceptions, block elements are default on elements such as divisions, paragraphs, headings, etc. You are right, that is an error :)By the way, the default display for table is actually display:table; The default stylesheet can be found at http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS21/sample.html
