Firewire
I came across link in a web page that when clicked it opened a Unauthorized Access warning that does not allow a url in a different page to show the image. But when I put the link directly in the browser, I could access the image.I would like to know what code that is to protect my images from being direct linked to other sites. Ingolme
You would have to play around with settings in the .htaccess file.Just googling for information about it I found this:http://altlab.com/htaccess_tutorial.html
Synook
You could also fiddle around with file permissions and the PHP $_SERVER['REFERRER'] variable.
kurt.santo
You could also prevent others to display your images in their website via:RewriteRule \.(gif|jpg|js|css)$ - [F]in .htaccess.There is so much you can do via .thaccess. Am a beginner myself trying to grasp the endless possiblities of .thaccess;-)Kurt
jlhaslip
Does your Hosting service offer Hotlinking Protection? check the Hosting Control Panel for that feature, but all it does is write the information to your htaccess file, so learn that approach...
