keturahuriel
Before I put them up on my site, do the videos need to be in FLASH format and what is the file extension name (filename.??? ) so that people can download and watch them, and do I need a special server for that purpose or can I put it in the MySQL database on my server? Synook
do the videos need to be in FLASH formatNo - most people have plugins to display formats such as mpeg and mov. Flash may be more user-friendly though.what is the file extension name (filename.??? )If you go with Flash then .swf or .flvand do I need a special server for that purpose or can I put it in the MySQL database on my server? You would store the video files on your webserver's filesystem. I wouldn't put it in a database as that would cause unnecessary overhead (there may also be formatting issues).
