Ingolme Posted July 13, 2008 Share Posted July 13, 2008 It depends on what doctype you're using: The "width" attribute of the pre element was deprecated in HTML 4.01.The "width" attribute of the pre element is not supported in XHTML 1.0 Strict DTDIf you're using HTML it should force the text to wrap at the amount of characters indicated in the width attribute, though it may be possible that most browsers ignore the attribute.
