Kingy
I thought a thread like this would be quite a useful resource for people who want to develop or experiment without having to pay a fortune.First and foremost the popular but less powerful alternative to Photoshop, Gimp. http://www.gimp.org/Equally there is also paint.net which I have experimented with out of curiosity. http://www.getpaint.net/Notepad++ is just what it sounds like, an updated version of notepad which supports tabs which is rather useful. http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htmThere is of course W3C's validator. http://validator.w3.org/I'm not sure I would call this last one totally useful but it's a good insight, it's the latest Acid test I'm sure most of you know abou. It checks the web standards of your browser, mostly DOM and Javascript. Currently my Opera reads 84/100. http://acid3.acidtests.org/
