dnainby
Hi,Does anyone know why, Flash Arial 14pt text, is smaller than Microsoft Word Arial 14(pt?) text? When you compare them side to side, Word's text is bigger? Does Word use pt size?TIADan

justsomeguy
Keep in mind that Flash movies scale. If you're looking at the Flash movie at 100% then the text should be the same. If it's another size the text will scale to match the movie.
dnainby
Keep in mind that Flash movies scale. If you're looking at the Flash movie at 100% then the text should be the same. If it's another size the text will scale to match the movie.I don't think its a scaling issue as both are presented at 100%. It's very strange that Flash 14pt is a different size from Word 14pt - I just can't figure out why
justsomeguy
Points are relative to the screen size. 72 points equals 1 inch. If Flash is reading your monitor resolution correctly, then both of them should be the same size. If Flash is using units other than points, like pixels, then the size will be different. If the Flash movie is scaled, then the size will be different. But if Flash is using 1 point to represent 1/72 of an inch, then it should be the same size no matter what the monitor resolution is, as long as the Flash movie is 100%.
