Rusty Posted February 25, 2009 Share Posted February 25, 2009 Hi all. I am in need of some assistance and not quite sure what is going wrong. I am new to all the web design and only know some advance HTML. While trying to do everything in HTML I found it difficult to accomplish things i wanted to. I am open to new and better ways of doing the drop down menu if anyone can help me out. Thanks in advance! I do not know how to make a scroll able window with the code so i am just going to paste it. Sorry if this causes any problems.So the problem that i am having is that after the first 3 options it will not show the webpage. It says webpage cant be displayed. In the address bar it sometimes will show up like this \Desktop\Client2\Client2\InformationPages\alabama.html for example. But others will not. Is it possibly because i have too many options? I took the code from the tutorial on this site that only has 3 options and just made more. I also have my javascript posted to see if there is anything wrong with that with this many options.<script type="text/javascript">function go() {window.location=document.getElementById("menu").value;}</script><select name="menu" id="menu"> <option value="">--Select a State--</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Alabama.html">Alabama</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Alaska.html">Alaska</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Arizona.html">Arizona</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Arkansas">Arkansas</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/California">California</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Colorado">Colorado</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Connecticut">Connecticut</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Delaware">Delaware</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Florida">Florida</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Georgia">Georgia</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Hawaii">Hawaii</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Idaho">Idaho</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Illinois">Illinois</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Indiana">Indiana</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Iowa">Iowa</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Kansas">Kansas</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Kentucky">Kentucky</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Louisiana">Louisiana</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Maine">Maine</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Maryland">Maryland</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Massachusetts">Massachusetts</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Michigan">Michigan</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Minnesota">Minnesota</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Mississippi">Mississippi</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Missouri">Missouri</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Montana">Montana</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Nebraska">Nebraska</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Nevada">Nevada</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/NewHampshire">New Hampshire</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/NewJersey">New Jersey</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/NewMexico">New Mexico</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/NewYork">New York</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/NorthCarolina">North Carolina</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/NorthDakota">North Dakota</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Ohio">Ohio</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Oklahoma">Oklahoma</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Oregon">Oregon</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Pennsylvania">Pennsylvania</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/RhodeIsland">Rhode Island</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/SouthCarolina">South Carolina</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/SouthDakota">South Dakota</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Tennessee">Tennessee</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Texas">Texas</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Utah">Utah</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Vermont">Vermont</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Virginia">Virginia</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Washington">Washington</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/WestVirginia">West Virginia</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Wisconsin">Wisconsin</option> <option value="../Client2/InformationPages/Wyoming">Wyoming</option> </select>Thank you all so much! jeffman Posted February 25, 2009 Share Posted February 25, 2009 After the third option you've forgotten the .html extension. I assume the actual destination files have that? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
