Hey guys, long time no see. I've been busy at Devshed for a while now. Good to be back..I know there is currently a meta tag to have IE8 emulate IE7. However, I was looking for something of the opposite. Is there a meta tag, or some sort of trick to make IE6 emulate a modern browser, such as IE7, Opera, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, or something? As far as I know there isn't but hopefully some new minds can help meThanks.

I can hear the programmers now: "Hey! Let's build in features that we won't actually invent for three years. . . ."The short answer is "no." The almost-answer is to use a strict doctype and be ready for disappointments.

@IngolmeStill not a mod yet? Nice avatar, when was it not that guy from sonic the hedgehog? Tails or whatever
No, I'm not a mod, but hey, if you forum owners are reading I won't reject if I'm offered the position.I don't really need to be a mod, I know more indicated people than myself. I just like to answer people's questions because I find it entertaining.I changed my avatar quite a while ago.

If they made me a mod, I'd feel like I had to be all nice and straight all the time. Not being a mod, I can be a little jokey and sarcastic. Not too much, but a little. (And I have been reined in once or twice.)I think we have enough mods, and they do a fine job. Some boards are malicious and painfully digressive. It's not like that here.
