If you navigate away from the domain I'm not sure if it will delete temporary cookies for the domain or not. In my experience most of them don't, they wait until you close the browser.

My experience also. I think that's what the documentation says, but I can't put my finger on it right now. (And of course the server-side also expires quickly.)Our mods do slam nasty or spamming behavior pretty heavily. I guess that's why it is rare. Occasionally you find a nasty thread in the archives and read, post-by-post, how someone nuked his privileges. Funny and sad at the same time. Weird thing about smeg. Only yesterday my daughter was asking me about foreskin. So I told her. That's just the way we do stuff. But I seem to recall reading somewhere that the RD writers came up with smeg as if it were a nonsense syllable. I thought they were putting us on, but they did seem quite serious.
