Guest Mgrancey
I am fixing/creating several tables for a site. It is to keep track of this tree, this forest, this year and then the various counts for that particular combination.I am thinking about using INDEXes and VIEWS, and understand what they are, but I have also read some vague warning about size and time for them. There will be 5 main table, TREE, FOREST, MEMBER, PUBLICATION and RECORD (which is the table for above example; tree, forest, year). Record is going to be the largest table out of all of them, while the others should be smaller, TREE would most likely be next, then PUBLICATION, FOREST, MEMBER most likely. Does anyone have better information on what limits, size and other thoughts that would help me to decide on using VIEWS and INDEX.
