I've never in my life seen such a large amount of parameters for an object before.Just pointing out a few mistakes in your code:

  • The align attribute is deprecated for all elements.
  • There's no such thing as float: center in CSS.
  • <embed> is not standard HTML.
  • The <object> tag is missing a data attribute.
  • Files with .swf extension do not have an application/x-oleobject MIME type.
  • Files with .swf extension are not displayed with Windows Media Player.
  • An <object> element with codebase and classid attributes will only work in Internet Explorer.

This is the correct, standards-compliant code used to embed Flash movies (SWF files)

<object data="http://www.uspoledance.com/uspdf_championship_video.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" style="width: 560px; height: 450px;"> <param name="src" value="http://www.uspoledance.com/uspdf_championship_video.swf"></object>

The only time I've seen this many param is in an xml file to play an *.flv within an flv player.anyway to play an swf you require the minimum below code obviously change filename and sizes, if this works you can start adding autostart, loop etc param to the code.<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,19,0" width="687" height="460"> <param name="movie" value="flashfilename.swf" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /> <param name="quality" value="high" /> <embed src="flashfilename.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="687" height="460" wmode="transparent"></embed> </object>
