dukxud Posted July 12, 2009 Share Posted July 12, 2009 i've been building a website and since i'm fairly new at it i took a free templete and decided to edit it. it is composed of mostly <div> as structue it seems and when i want to edit the page and give it a new form it just messes up. I'm using dreamweaver 8. can someone explain to me exactly how a <div> is used for structure or explain to me how to edit the structure, since it has no tabels. -Nathani can post what i've done with it so far if i have been vauge in some manner. Ingolme Posted July 12, 2009 Share Posted July 12, 2009 The CSS is telling it what to do: #left {float: left;width: 243px;} The element <div id="left"> will be put to the left and given 243px of width.And the same with all the other elements.
