Implementation Or Xmlhttp?

Quoted from the W3C DOM Core specification:"The DOM Implementation interface provides a number of methods for performing operations that are independent of any particular instance of the document object model."document.implementation calls the DOMImplementation interface that created the document, which is already loaded. XMLHTTP requests are requests for XML documents thorugh the HTTP. Though it's not perfectly accurate, as you don't always request XML files, you can request anything with the XMLHTTP object.

XMLHTTP just opens a request for a file through HTTP. The difference between this and normal HTTP requests is that you can do this request at any moment instead of just when the page loads and you can manipulate the response with Javascript before using it on the page. You still need a web server to host your pages on.
