Mori
Hi everyone, I have a website and wonder how to add gadgets, e.g. http://www.google.com/ig/modules/datetime.xml , to it. Your instructions would be appreciated. Best regards Mori
Ingolme
You'll have to build your own server-side application that extracts data from an XML file and puts it onto your page. It's nothing simple.
ravenshade
More often than not, it'll be better to grab a free script off the net, that does what you want the module to do. Ingolme is somewhat understating the difficulty.

Ingolme is somewhat understating the difficulty.Do you really think there's a free script that reads Google gadget files and interprets them?Since the gadgets are for Google, I don't think that people would even care much to display them outside Google. However, I don't see building an interpretter for it as a project beyond my capabilities. You just need to see the specification Google has for the gadget XML files. ravenshade
Oh no no, i didn't mean Google...I meant it would be easier to literally build the module themselves instead of getting an trying to essentially steal them. For instance, there are many free scripts for calenders, or clocks.
