luvhh2
Hi. I need your help. I have recently been put in charge of my local group's website. We had the site designed by someone. She is actually the one that told me about your tutorial. But I still need advice/guidance. I want to change the image we have for our menu box. The designer told me that I would have to create my own. ????? I have no idea how to do that. Do you create images using HTML? Am I even in the right area? Or is that done is CCS? I guess I just need a starting point? Can anyone tell me where to get the scoop on how this is done? I appreciate it! Also, this is a great site!! I've already learned alot about HTML!! Agustine
Do you mean add an image to your website, or creater an image with html for your website ?
vchris
To create an image you need an image editing program such as: photoshop (one of the best), macromedia fireworks, paint (very basic)...
Jonas
Also, another good photo editor is GIMP. It has most of the functions Photoshop does, and while Photoshop costs money, the GIMP is free...
luvhh2
I will look into the GIMP, thanks. I don't have Photoshop.I have to create a new menu box background that would fit within the dimensions that are already there. The designer told me that the current one was one that she created herself. It just doesn't go along with our group or us or anything, it looks very odd. I didn't think that I could use a actual photo....I don't know if I have to use html or how to even start it... I will look into the suggestions you have given me so far & see if I can start with that.
luvhh2
Okay, it's me again. Things are getting clearer....slowly. I still need advise though--PLEASE!!I have found an image that I want to use. My thing is now that I don't know how to get it into the spot I want it in. I read through the html tutorial again & saw the example of the boat.gif in images, etc. My problem is I don't know how to get the image I want to have a URL. The other one has it but I still haven't been able to locate where it is or how she did it. Can someone direct me on how to do this? I appreciate it.
