johnnyg24
Is there a way of setting the print size of a <div>? I've tried using "width:5in;" but my printer prints it at 3.5". Is this technique printer driven? If anyone knows of a way to set print sizes either with CSS or JavaScript, I would appreciate a quick lesson. Thanks. jeffman
Are you using an @media rule in CSS? Google it if you aren't.OTOH, I have found that some printers behave better than others. HP has always been good to me.
johnnyg24
I'm using media="print".Using inches as the width's unit of measure works well in FF and IE but is about 5-7% larger in Chrome. I have only tested this on an HP printer. So I'm guessing that anything short of converting the document into a PDF, there is really no sure way to set a specific print size that would be cross browser and cross printer compatible.
