bladexhunt
Dunno if you still need help, but a really good WYSIWYG editor is Aptana, go for Aptana Studio since you can always just add RoR to the original, its built on eclipse a well known java ide, and its pretty good in my opinion as a freeware product. I don't think its open source, and its cross platform so you can check it on all your different OSes, if you need help with making your site still, just email me at drafterxml@live.com
Kaboraya
From my opinion Dreamweaver is the best software for web designing.
Charamei
It's not much use to a Windows user, but my favourite is gedit. On Windows, I use Notepad.
thescientist
It's not much use to a Windows user, but my favourite is gedit. On Windows, I use Notepad.ill give it a try, i've been looking around for a good mac compatible text editor, although textwrangler has started to get a bit more familiar after having used context, which a quite liked. Synook
gedit is for GNOME. Coda is a good one for Mac, not free though.
