skaterdav85 12
I haven't really touched much of flash or flex, but I'm curious about them. Do a lot of developers use flex over flash for web applications? Is there any advantage to using Flex over a regular HTML page that uses AJAX?
Skemcin 13
Here is one of the more simple explanations I've found:http://www.scottklarr.com/topic/39/adobe-a...ft-silverlight/It really boils down to your requirements and desired user interface. You wouldn't use flash for a shopping cart but you could use html or flex. Flex would look better, be more slick, and arguable (done right) have a much better flow. HTML, aside from it lacking server side scripting capabilities, will be functional but less impressive to the user and very restrictive to the programmer.Hope that helps. skaterdav85 12
What would be a good starting book for learning Flex and Actionscript 3.0? I want to start from the basics of Actionscript 3.0 since I'm new to it, not just looking at code samples and figuring out what it's doing.
