Guest Claire
Hi guys this is my first post - I signed up to the forum as I am going to be doing a web design course soon. I work in a web design agency - at the minute doing project management. My boss asked that I sound this problem off against you guys on here to see if any of you could help.Basically we have a developer working freelance for us through an agency, they are supposed to be a senior developer with good experience. We asked them to edit this template: http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/27307.html for a client who wanted a flash website but didn't want to pay for custom development. This is what they have done to the template so far: http://cattlecreative.cattle.virtual.tibus...photography.swf This took a week working full time to do so and they even had a 2nd developer working on it for one day of this week.I know depending on the skill and requirements of the modification that it can take different people different times to do the same job but my boss has begun to wonder if he is being ripped off as there doesnt seem to be much work done for that amount of time - and obviously we are paying them for the time they work. So I guess I was wondering if you could give your honest opinion of the time taken to do these changes? I know this is hard to judge without seeing the backend and stuff but I would be very grateful if you could help as my boss just doesn't know what to do and would like a 2nd opinion! Thanks! thescientist
what was the expectation of work to be done? The client wanted flash but not custom development, so what did you ask this developer to do? Recreate the flash file from the first link? Or just edit it?
