Gregor386
HelloI want to make a container class which will contain three columns. Height of the center column would determinethe height of both left and right columns which would be floating to the sides and of fixed width. Width of the center column is unknownand may be resized. The container must resize accordingly.I have C background and would have no problem coding this in javascript, but I saw the power of css and I believe that it is possible to letthe browser do the calculating- much better.I've been researching this for some time now, but cant seem to find the solution. Any help - example, link, query - will be much appreciated! Thanks,Gregor
jeffman
CSS has its limits, and this is one of them.Fortunately, many designers have created work-arounds. Here are two. The first one uses a highly nested system. The second uses a "fat border" system. Each has advantages and disadvantages.http://www.manisheriar.com/holygrail/index.htmhttp://www.sophox.com/samples/three-columns.html
