jeffman Posted April 4, 2010 Share Posted April 4, 2010 Certain elements cannot be aggressively styled using CSS. The <select> element is one of these. Techniques that seem to style them depend on JavaScript. What they really do is test for the availability of JavaScript, and if it is enabled, they overlay an existing select element with a new set of elements, which can be styled.Our own Synook links to a site that contains an illustration of this technique.
