textarea/inputbox borders disappearing when RTL in IE

I'm trying to convert a form template into RTLApart from the occasional float on a button all I'm doing is adding 'direction:rtl' to a certain class.Now in every browser apart from IE the form looks just fine but in IE the left border of the input field disappears.What is even weirder is that if I navigate away from the browser and back to it some of the left borders that were still there also disappear.Any clues?Please help this newbee!
