position:fixed gets sticky on the iPad

Recommended Posts

Most of the pages on my new website have a fixed footer. The HTML for it looks like this:

#fixedfoot {width:90%;height:auto;color:#565;text-align:center;line-height:96%;font-size:60%;clear:both;position:fixed;bottom:0;left:0;z-index:2;margin:0 0 0 142px;padding:0;}

This is fine in FF and IE8, but when I view my website on an iPad, the footer sticks in one place when I rotate the iPad or scroll around. Can anyone tell me how to get around this problem?

I guess you need separated css file for iPad. Or could use some script which detects browsers and sistems.
