Hi, I am a very new and inexperienced designer. I designed and built a simple five page website for a friend created with my Mac and viewed while developing it, in Safari. When I did a cross browser check in IE the divs had developed borders....any advice how to get rid of the borders when veiwing in IE. I have used the "list-style-type: none; " in the CSSThanks!

list style type would only really effect <li> elements. Can you post a link or your code? do your div's happen to be wrapped in <a> tags? You might want to try adding text-decoration none as a class to those specific elements.
