I first had to take a good look before I actually knew what it all was about as well as that it raised the question 'what is the first work sample?'.The featured work intro is something to easy to overlook. Maybe add something in front of it so it pops up a while after that the page is loaded. The 'Click here to view project' is also kind of hidden away and needs to be searched for on the sub-pages. You might want to consider a more 'standard' design. Most people looking to hire some one are not all that technical themselves often.
