goofy firefox problem

Recommended Posts

I'm running Firefox/3.6.18. Starting yesterday, I noticed that when I tried to load scripts, on my localhost, after editing them, an old, but recent, version was displaying. Even when I re-enterted the filename from the URL by hand, the old copy kept coming up. This has happened with a few other files though I can't tell you how many or that it happened consistently. So, I tried it in ie and chrome and I had no problem. Then, I checked for spyware/malware, did a virus check and even did a chkdsk and found nothing.ultimately, I copy/pasted the contents of the file into notepad, deleted the offending html file, and created it again in the same directory and problem solved!Has anyone heard of/experienced such problems? If so, what can you tell me?

Firefox may have just been caching the pages. You can force it to clear the cache when refreshing by pressing Ctrl+F5.

Thanks Synook. I'll try that next time I encounter that situation. Your suggestion is way simpler than what I tried.
