jimfog Posted July 29, 2011 Share Posted July 29, 2011 I use joomla and i have placed an .htacces file to password protect a directory.This .htacces file points to the file where the passwords are held and it is indicated by theAuthUserFile command-the path where the file resides.The problem is that when i open this file(where the passwords are located) thereis nothing to it.I open the file with a text editor(notepad) and i cannot find passwords.What is going on here? dsonesuk Posted July 29, 2011 Share Posted July 29, 2011 If you are refering to the configuration.php there are only two passwords one is the 'secret' for admin access, and the other 'password' is for MYSQL database access, all the other user usernames and passwords are saved in jos_user table within joomla database.
