thescientist
um...im not sure which part you don't get? Do you understand what a library is in the context of software? It is code that is easily reusable and generic that it can be used over and over in different applications, and typically helps streamline a developers development time. it tends to be consistent, has a simple interface/API, and should ideally work on all platforms.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JavaScript_library So, jquery is such a library, but for Javascript. hence, a javascript library.
