saxitaxi Posted March 23, 2012 Share Posted March 23, 2012 hi everyone, i have activated the IIS package for windows, and i putted my index.html file into wwwroot folder, and it works pretty fine when i tape http://localhost/index.html but it's not the case when i tape http:// (my ip adress) so other users can see my index.html page ; my IP address leads me to my modem setting page ( i have a Huawei SmartAX MT882a ADSL modem )any one can help please ? how can others see my webpage Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
TheGallery Posted March 26, 2012 Share Posted March 26, 2012 You have to open the web server ports in order for other to be able to see your page. The default for apache is port 80, i assume it's the same for IIS. It shouldn't be hard to find it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
boen_robot Posted March 27, 2012 Share Posted March 27, 2012 To clarify what TheGallery said, you need to go to your modem's settings, and "Port forward" port 80 to your private IP address. In order to be able to access your modem's settings, you should also move them to another port.If you aren't comfortable with adjusting your modem's settings, I advice you to get someone who is, as you could end up messing up your internet connection.
