Guest Keytone
Can anyone tell me how to handle the situation when my slideshow doesn't work right in IE or AoL?The image only shows half the image ( shifted halfway to the right). I've seen how to deal with this incompatability problem before, but can't remember. Thanks
Ingolme
What kind of slideshow is this? What code are you using? Is there anybody left in the world that uses AOL as a browser?
Guest Keytone
Here's the slide show. It works great in Chrome, that's all I've tried it in and there are parameters that can be changed easily. This is the URL where I got ithttp://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/reelslideshow.htm This is my URL where I used ithttp://jdsplace.us/dynamicdrive/smile/smile1.html I have seen code that takes into consideration a browser that something doesn't work in and redirects to something else. I think that is what I'm trying to remember. Thanks, John
Ingolme
The only problem I see if that your page is rendering in quirks mode and that's causing it to display wrong. Try validating your page: http://validator.w3.org/
Guest Keytone
Thanks Foxy Mod!I guess I learned a valuable lesson that time!I hadn't declared a DOCTYPE or encoding or anything. Guess I was in a hurry and didn't think about that when I had trouble.Just a very good example of the importance of Validating! Thanks very much.
