davej
I am going to be building a club website and I don't know if I should consider something like Drupal or if I should try to build it from scratch. What are the pros and cons? Thanks.
Guest So Called
Use some CDS and you'll have your site up much quicker. Writing your own CDS is a lot of work. You might also consider WordPress, or even SMF (forum software) which can be configured into a CDS.
davej
CDS means something similar to CMS? Thanks.
Guest So Called
Well actually I've taken them to be pretty much the same. What is content management without delivery? What is content delivery without management? I don't see any way to separate the two.
mremorocks
I think you should go with CMS. But there are other CMS better the drupal. I mean joomla. Joomla is a great CMS. If you are looking toward a club. then i thing you shouldn't go with this drupal, joomla etc. You better should go with forum softwares. There are free forum software like simple machine, phpBB etc.
