How do I get my navigation menu to display ontop of an image

As the title says, I have a few images placed on my content area: And my navigation when I go onto the drop-down menu, it sits behind the image, I've tried to use 'wmode transparent' and 'z-index' I couldn't get either to work though.I will show the rest of the code related if needs be, thanks.

No need man, I fixed the problem already. Unless you mean you want to just see it in general, I would say though, that there's nothing groundbreaking in there lol.
