openssl and no ssl in apache server

OpenSSL is required when you want to serve HTTPS pages.So basically, if you don't want to serve HTTPS pages, it doesn't matter which one you get.

Also, with some (many? most? all?) shared hosting services SSL does not come with a basic hosting account. I wish I could serve HTTPS (for my admin interface) but not willing to pay extra.
