I understand the main issue with that is privacy with your files, but I have nothing to hide. I really don't care if people see them. Are their any other cons of leaving them open? Ingolme Posted August 3, 2012 Share Posted August 3, 2012 If you have nothing you want to protect then you don't need to do anything. Preventing people from seeing your directory structure is usually safer from hackers. An empty index.html file will keep people from seeing the contents of a directory. If you want to protect PHP include files, adding a .htacess file with Deny From All will prevent the included files from being accessed by users.
