TranNova
Hi w3schools, i'm a beginer web desiner that wants to learn all that I can know for web development. My question to you is what books are good for learning web development? I know there are tutorials on the w3 site but it seems to go in one ear and out the other, for me atleast. The type of books i'm looking for will teach the basics but will focus more on advance topics and will have alot of pratice programs for me to figure out. My eventual goal is being able to build a forum system like this one from scratch.I already know HTML fairly well, but that's were my knowledge ends. My other question is what languages should I know well to be able to construct a very dynamic forum system. Thanks in advance
Little Goat
as for the books, Beginning XHTML Wrox Pressit teaches CSS, Javascript, XHTML, XMLas for the forum, you would need very extensive PHP (or some server side language) and very extensive MySQL(or another Database).you probably won't be able to do that for a while unless you are a REALLY fast learner. (I don't know enough either!)LG
