shatonyourcat
In this site that I'm currently building http://justinfowler.ca/greg/index.html I'm trying to make it somewhat elastic. It mostly works fine except that when I re-size the browser to small it begin to overlap the divs. Is there a way to fix this? or did I just build it completely wrong? Thanks for any help. dsonesuk
position: fixed; takes these elements COMPLETELY out from the flow of other elements, so the position of these elements is not determined by the height/width, or the content within these other elements, but by top: left: right: bottom properties, and will stay to the position set by these. Positioning should be used as last option, where float: margin: padding: for layout of page does not suffice, position is usually reserved for overlapping purposes.
